The Worcester Chorus (Chris Shepard, Director) and the Winchendon Music Festival (Andrew Arceci, Director) join forces January 23 & 24 to present three sections from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio––written for chamber orchestra, chorus, and soloists. Despite its name, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio isn’t only for December. The work is a collection of six cantatas historically performed at different points throughout the Advent/Christmas season.

Claire Fontijn (Phyllis Henderson Carey Professor of Music, Wellesley College) will give a pre-concert talk before each program.
